Join Our Junior Sailing Program!
The CYC has long fostered a passion for the sea for adults and children alike. The Club's Junior Sailing classes are open to children of members and non-members, ages 7 to 17, using the CYC's Vanguard Prams, Optimists, and Sonar keel boats. Classes are designed to give students knowledge and confidence at each level and progress to more advanced sessions during the season. Our average sailor to instructor ratio is less than 4:1 and instructors include experienced college and high school sailors.

Program Details
During the summer, the CYC holds youth lessons in Optimists. We offer sailing lessons to our members, as well as to the general public, and provide scholarships to families who demonstrate need.
2026 Program Dates:
- Session 1: June 22 to July 3
- Session 2: July 6 to 17
- Session 3: July 20 to July 31
- Session 4: August 3 to August 14
To secure your spot for the 2026 season, please mark these key dates:
- Member Registration: Opens Thursday, February 5 @ 7:00 AM
- Public Registration: Opens Sunday, February 8 @ 7:00 AM
