Twilight Series

The long-time traditional CYC Twilight Series is run each Thursday evening (with the exception of the Thursday during Race Week). The series is run from the "Twilight Booth" beneath the dining room, much as all race management was done during the early years before Race Committee boats gave us the flexibility of moving slightly off-shore.

The first "gun" (and yellow shape) occurs at precisely 6:30 PM each Thursday evening between late May and the end of August, again with the exception of Race Week. Fleet participation generally comes from the Rhodes 19s and the venerable Town Class.

Courses consist of government buoys, although there are two portable marks that are "on-Station" for the season. Most of the Thursday evening racing is conducted in the area immediately outside the harbor.
