Sonar Charter Program

Charter the CYC Sonar!

The Club Sonar is available for charter to all Club members. Whether you want a private sailing lesson, race on Wednesday or Thursday nights, or just enjoy a lazy sunset sail with your family, please take advantage of this Club resource.

Who can charter?
The boat is available to all Club members on a first come, first served basis.

When is the boat available?
Charters are available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, although it is reserved for the junior sailing program weekday mornings as indicated in the chart below.

All members = junior sailing, private instruction, sailing team and private charters, by reservation.

How much does it cost?
$25 per charter

How does checkout work?
The waterfront staff will probably ask that you complete a short check-out procedure, both to insure your safety, as well as to insure your familiarity with the Sonar Charter Policy. Once youve been checked out or otherwise approved, your name will be added to a list, and you will require no additional checkout.

How do I get checked out and/or reserve the boat?
Simply talk to the waterfront staff or call the Sonar reservation line at Ext. 129.
